Fellow, American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons Dr. Butler is a Fellow of the American College of Foot & Ankle Surgeons and Board Certified in foot and ankle surgery by the American Board of Foot & Ankle Surgery.

Dr. Butler completed a comprehensive Foot and Ankle surgical residency in Minnesota. Prior to residency he completed his medical studies at DesMoines University and undergraduate degree from Gustavus Adolphus college.

Dr. Butler believes all his patients deserve the highest level of care. His philosophy involves giving each patient individualized personal attention. He believes the physician and patient work together as a team to determine the best course of treatment.

Dr. Butler developed the DSO (Dynamic Suspension Orthoses) and the concept of Suspension Biomechanics. He has been awarded numerous patents related to Orthotic and Bracing technologies. His devices have been the focus of research at the Steadman Clinic and Steadman Phillipon Research Institute (Vail Colorado) and the University of Minnesota. His device research has been presented at the Orthopedic Foot Cub, the Orthopedic Research Society, Podiatry and O&P conferences.

Dr. Butler loves to teach and has served as an Adjunct Clinical Faculty for the University of Minnesota medical school. 

 Dr. Butler enjoys spending time with family and friends, enjoying all sports and the great outdoors.
